Despite being a successful painting business with hundreds of high-profile clients, HiTech Painting started from much more humble beginnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heuslein said he got his foot in the door doing residential work in the area. \u201cI started 40 years ago doing tract homes in San Diego,\u201d Heuslein said. \u201cI got good at that. Then, I got bored of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From there, he went on to work for painting companies that were doing commercial work, then industrial work. Eventually, he started doing high-end residential painting in areas like La Jolla, Fairbanks Ranch, and Del Mar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would spend eight hours just prepping and painting one door,\u201d he said. \u201cBut they wanted it perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, Heuslein went solo 25 years ago and started his own business, which allowed him to incorporate what he had learned and to train his own painters. We just repainted everything around there. It was absolutely gorgeous,\u201d he said. \u201cWe just got done doing a rappelling tower on Camp Pendleton about two weeks ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People go to HiTech Painting, Inc. for the quality of service. I\u2019d rather have lunch on the job site.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heuslein founded his business in 1999, and officially incorporated in 2017. And although he tries to remain as hands-on as possible, Heuslein is trying to transition into a new role at HiTech Painting, Inc. \u2014 a more presidential one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m trying to transition, after 25 years, into being presidential,\u201d he said. \u201cSo I\u2019m not working in the field so much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Heuslein\u2019s deep well of experience is still making an impact on every job that HiTech Painting does.
